Facebook Page audience demographics (country, city, age, gender) in the Analytics API
We use the Zernio API at Museon to pull authorized analytics for our creators' Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and Facebook accounts. Instagram (GET /v1/analytics/instagram/demographics) and YouTube (GET /v1/analytics/youtube/demographics) audience demographics work well for us. We'd like the same for Facebook Pages.
What happens today: GET /v1/analytics/facebook/page-insights rejects audience metrics. We tested all 13 of our connected Facebook Pages (each has a selectedPageId and the default page insights return normally). Every request with metrics=page_fans_country (also page_fans_city, page_fans_gender_age) returns:
400 invalid_field_value: Invalid metrics: page_fans_country. Valid: page_media_view, page_views_total, page_post_engagements, page_video_views, page_video_view_time, page_follows, content_monetization_earnings, monetization_approximate_earnings, followers_gained, followers_lost
Request: expose Facebook Page audience demographics, either as allowed metrics on page-insights or as a /v1/analytics/facebook/demographics endpoint mirroring the Instagram one. In priority order:
Country (
page_fans_countryor the current Graph API equivalent)City (
page_fans_city)Age and gender, if Meta still exposes them for Pages
Locale (
page_fans_locale), nice to have
Meta only returns demographics for Pages with 100+ people, so an explicit empty or "below threshold" response for smaller Pages would be ideal.
Use case: we show each post's audience next to its performance (countries, cities, age and gender tabs) for Instagram, YouTube and TikTok, and Facebook is the one platform we can't fill. Happy to test a beta.
