Facebook profile posting

@Miquel Palet López would you be open to exploring what Publer.com does? They found a work-a-round to the API limitation by creating a push notification to our phones at the time we scheduled the personal facebook profile post. Then on our phone when we press the notifcation it automatically saves the caption, and forces the video file to be sent to the “Share to personal Facebook profile” function in our phones. We past the caption/description into the post and then click post. It’s like within 4-5 clicks on our phone the post goes out at the time we scheduled. It’s an EXTREMELY useful feature I have been using in Publer to schedule to my personal profile for the last 5 years or so. If you’re open to exploring that work-a-round I could give you more details on any part of the process you’d like. It would be great to have you reconsider opening this feature request because I know it’s possible I’ve been using it for years and still use it every day to post reels to my personal fb profile. This is the 2nd biggest feature that Late is missing which makes it hard to fully switch over to late.

Hey @Julian Mathia , unfortunately we have to decline this feature request as Facebook doesn’t allow this :(

We’ve checked in with the devs, and according to Facebook’s official docs, posting using the Facebook API requires connecting a Facebook Page. Facebook does not allow personal accounts to be connected.

This is a Facebook API restriction, not an Late limitation. You must use a Facebook Page (business page) to post through the API.
