locale-support request

Thank you for the reply and for logging locale support. We re-tested on the boosterengine account:

Works: dimension=interest (e.g. "fitness", "jewelry"), workPosition, workEmployer, geo, and targeting/browse with adAccountId returns the tree.

Doesn't work:

  1. dimension=behavior returns an empty list for every query: "travel", "shop", "buyers", "expats", "engaged shoppers". If the Meta behaviour catalogue is filtered by substring on your side, "travel" and "shop" should find results. We'll wait for your colleague's fix.

  2. English queries are sometimes empty too: "dental implants" and "orthodontics" returned 0 (while "dentistry" found Dental school and Medical school). So it is not only about locale: it looks like only close name matches are returned. Do you match by prefix or by substring, and is a softer search possible?

  3. Category paths come back in Russian ("Интересы → Дополнительные интересы"). Is that the ad account's language? We would like English paths, or a language parameter.

    This is fixed and live.

Behaviors: Meta names behaviors in the language of the Facebook user behind the token, and the catalog was cached without its language, so English queries like "travel" or "expats" sometimes searched a catalog in another language. The behavior catalog is now fetched in English by default, so dimension=behavior&q=travel returns results again.

Language: GET /v1/ads/targeting/search takes a new optional locale (language_TERRITORY, for example pl_PL or en_US) for Meta interest, behavior, geo, workPosition, workEmployer and workIndustry. Names and category paths come back in that language, so pass locale=en_US to get English paths instead of Russian ones. With a locale set, write q in that language (for example q=podróż&locale=pl_PL). Behavior search matches the name only, not the path.

Narrow matches: we pass your query to Meta unchanged. "dental implants", "orthodontics" and "implanty" return nothing because Meta has no interest with those names. Broader terms ("Dentistry", or "stomatologia" with locale=pl_PL) work, and dimension=interestSuggestion with a found interest returns related ones.
